Honestly, as a former fat kid (still fat, just not a kid anymore), I think that’s in no small part because the unrelenting hatred for fat people is just so completely and totally normalized that most people, fat or otherwise, just didn’t notice it. So the fail of the Q documentary I set off to find something better about the conspiracy theory, so started "Trust the Plan: The Rise of QAnon and the Conspiracy That Unhinged America" by Will Sommer, I'm listening to it on audio as I make dinner and fully, 5 minutes 23 seconds! into the book, we're in the opening he's outside the capital talking to people before January 6th really kicks off and he relates this woman telling him about the the sex slave children living in tunnels all over the world so they can be tortured and abused to make adrenochrome for the world elites and Covid-19 was really a cover for Trump to rescue the children and also most Earthquakes weren't real but a result of the Military blowing up the tunnels after saving children and oh yes the Democrats in Congress were among the criminals responsible.
Then, THEN! after that very special moment he was like "the 2020 elections already abounded with conspiracy theories, Republicans claimed the election was stolen, Democrats were obsessed with stories that Donald Trump had paid two prostitutes to pee on a bed in Russia once used by President Obama"
okay.... okay... uh can we not see how one thing is not like the other. Is that story from the Steele dossier true? most likely not, but also we know Trump has paid people for sex, we know Trump hates Obama, we know both Obama and Trump stayed in the same room in the same hotel, so like there are things right? there's nothing no scrap that would lead any normal person to believe in "mole children"

some people who definitely think "the curtains are just blue": yeah gwen used to play with action figures, toys usually associated with boys, and she wears the same size shoes as this other dude, and she has a "protect trans kids" trans flag hanging above her window, and her dad has a trans pin in his coat, and her world literally turns pink-blue-white when she talks about her secret identity and never being able to be honest about a part of herself to people she loves, but that doesn't MEAN she is canonically trans, because she never looked directly at the screen and said "i'm a transgender woman"! what are you even talking about?
